- Animals are properly selected.
PreslaughteringAnimals are brought in from standard farmers and suppliers, using company vehicles. They are then unloaded, screened and transported to the Holding Shelter in the abattoir. After Anti-Morteum Inspection they are transferred to the Slaughtering Hall.
Halal SlaughteringModjo is specialize in Halal slaughtering which means every step meets the requirement for producing Halal meat. Animals go in one by one to be slaughtered, beheaded, skinned, eviscerated and inspected (Post-Morteum Inspection).
Preparation & PackagingOnce the carcasses are properly inspected they are weighed, washed, trimmed, decontaminated by spraying organic acid and transferred to the chiller rooms. Once they are properly chilled they are moved to the packaging room where they are labeled, covered with stockinette, weighed and loaded on specialized refrigerator fitted trucks owned by the abattoir.
